If you've been wondering why this particular retrograde hit so hard, it's because Mercury was retrograde in Cancer. Cancer rules our past, our childhood, our roots, and our family dynamics. So the most triggering and painful memories probably came bubbling up to the surface. Since Mercury governs communication, those conversations felt uncomfortable and heavy. There may have been a lot of tears. But here's the thing: all that heaviness served a purpose.
Why the pain was necessary
Right now, we're moving through some genuinely beautiful astrology. All the outer planets are aligning in fire and air signs, supporting one another and ushering us into a lighter period. Solutions are becoming more available. We can understand one another better, cooperate, make real progress, and find a new path forward. A better path.
But in order to step onto this path, there was a lot from our past that needed to be confronted, faced, and dealt with.
How can we move forward into this lighter era if we're still stuck in the past? If we're still carrying all that heaviness? We can't. This was our opportunity to release, and you did a great job. You're stronger than you think you are.
What's coming next
Now it's time to experience some relief. Just keep in mind that we're still in the post retrograde shadow until about August 6th. And by that time, we'll be in eclipse season. So don't expect the craziness to subside completely just yet. We'll definitely have more clarity, but the chaos may continue because that's what eclipses do. Their purpose is to align us with a greater destiny.
This is a time of surrender, of trust, of allowing what needs to unfold to unfold. Don't fight it. Face it head on and let the universe do its job. But eclipse season isn't here just yet, so use this little window to take action, make some progress, have some fun, and celebrate yourself. Enjoy the moment. You've earned it. You're amazing.
